Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve put together answers to some of the questions I get asked most often. Hopefully, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. I’ve done my best to cover the basics, but feel free to get in touch if you have any other questions!

  • The best way to get in touch with me is by email (contact me button). I aim to reply within 24 hours.

  • Our first session is a no-obligation opportunity for us to meet, talk about what you’re hoping to get from therapy, and see if we feel like a good fit. We’ll explore your needs, address any questions you have, and give you a sense of how we might work together. The fee for an initial session is £50.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

  • Each session lasts for 50 minutes. Typically, sessions are held weekly, at the same time and place, unless we agree otherwise.

  • I primarily offer medium- to long-term therapy, as I believe that deep, lasting change takes time to develop through a trusting therapeutic relationship. However, certain issues can be addressed in shorter-term work. We can discuss your needs and what feels right for you during our initial consultation.

  • I currently work in two locations: Ealing W5 and Beaconsfield HP9.

  • If you need immediate help and are in the UK, please contact your local NHS urgent mental health helpline, call the Samaritans on 116 123, text “SHOUT” to 85258, or dial 999 for emergency services.

  • My standard fee is £70 per 50-minute session. I offer a limited number of concessionary slots for students and those on a low income. We can discuss this during our first conversation to see what might be possible.

  • Yes, I am a registered provider with Bupa health insurance. If you’re covered by Bupa, you may be able to claim for counselling sessions, depending on your policy.

  • Everyone’s journey through therapy is unique. Rather than being a straightforward or linear path, therapy is often more like putting together the pieces of a puzzle — at times it may feel slow or uncertain, but as more pieces come together, a clearer picture begins to form.

Together, we will explore your thoughts and feelings and how they influence your behavior and the way you show up in the world (or sometimes, don’t). Along the way, we’ll work on uncovering and tapping into your inner resources to help you move forward. Through regular reviews, we can reflect on your process and decide whether you feel ready to end therapy or would like to continue.

Please note that no therapist can guarantee specific outcomes. Your therapeutic process will depend on the relationship we build, your commitment and consistency, and my ability to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey.
